High Performance Centre Papendal is the National Training Centre in the Netherlands, the home base of numerous world-class athletes such as Dafne Schippers. Owner of Papendal is NOC*NSF (National Olympic Committee and The Dutch Sports Federation). Papendal offers a great variety of high-quality elite sports facilities and is known to both national and international sportsmen and -women as a multi-functional, and internationally oriented training centre.

High Performance Centre Papendal is a “Centre for Sports and Education” (CTO), making it possible for young sports talents to live, train and study on one location and ultimately develop their sports activities to the utmost. Papendal facilitates over 350 athletes in various sports such as cycling (track, road and BMX), athletics, volleyball, handball, wheelchair basketball and more.

Papendal is the ideal test and measurement environment for elite sports in the Netherlands. The High Performance Centre includes a sport science department and a sports laboratory which is elevating elite sports to a higher level. Thanks to the advanced test and measurement equipment it offers, elite athletes and coaches can receive feedback on their performance on a daily basis. At Papendal, the laboratory is working on the development of innovative products and services in the field of performance monitoring, physiology, recovery, sleep and nutrition.

The Elite Sports Restaurant of High Performance Centre Papendal provides a unique location for product innovation in sports and nutrition. The facilities provide a platform to test and develop new functional food products, aimed at (elite) athletes and physically active consumers. In addition, research and innovation projects on supportive materials can be supported, such as specific supplements or innovative cooking techniques.
