| Founded on the idea that crop spraying should be less wasteful, Wingssprayer perfected a crop spraying technique that almost entirely prevents drift—a foggy cloud of water and pesticides/herbicides that floats into the air while spraying crops. The achieved drift reduction reduces the amount of spraying chemicals needed to effectively protect crops. Which is both beneficial to the environment (less pollution) and to the farmer (a substantial cost reduction). The Accenture Innovation Award winning (class of 2014) startup operates from the greater Eindhoven municipality area—voted the smartest region in the world—located in the south of the Netherlands. The company currently offers three product types, that can protect the majority of crops planted around the globe. Wingssprayer products are mainly marketed to Western Europe and Canada. However, the company is looking to expand its efforts into the U.S.A. and Eastern Europe. |
