Bakeries all over the world still use ovens and bake bread and pizza on asbestos containing stone like material. Ongoing health awareness and regulations have forced the baking industry to find alternatives.

FydroFire baking stone

Fydro has developed an artificial and 100% mineral stone material as replacement for hazardous asbestos containing material in bread baking ovens (both artisan and ‘industrial'). The material is available in flat panel size up to 1200 x 2400 mm. The development and tests of this material as ‘tunnel stone’ for conveyor ovens are ongoing.

Baking stone for deck ovens

The FydroFire baking stone has proven to be able to combine food safety with best baking result. The baking stone is wear resistant, durable and is extremely suitable for deck ovens.

With regard to manner and extent of the performed examinations the pre-sent sample complies with the current legal requirements of German “Lebensmittel-, Bedarfsgegenstände- und Futtermittelgesetzbuch (LFGB)“ and of Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004.
