TempMitter

Gullimex TempMitter provides wireless/online control of temperature.

Food safety, quality, efficiency and cost reduction have become important issues for food suppliers, manufacturers and retailers. The temperature of food needs to be measured throughout the supply chain, in order to help prevent costly recalls. TempMitter, an advanced measuring device developed by Gullimex, helps chain partners meet this challenge, allowing them to measure wireless and register quality data online to view them via several devices – whenever and wherever they want.

TempMitter represents the latest in hand-held, digital thermometer technology and usability. Temperature measurements are immediately forwarded to a secure, personal website, available 24/7, allowing quality managers to easily check and control temperature, and examine the data wherever they are. TempMitter can be configured to individual customers and individual processes/products and can automatically inform designated people, via SMS and email, when temperatures are out of safe ranges. Information can be stored about, for example, production-plant hygiene regulations, turning the instrument in a ‘digital HACCP handbook’.

TempMitter is available in two versions: a probe version for insertion and dip measurements, and an infrared sensor for rapid, contactless and hygienic surface measurements. TempMitter is compatible with Gullimex’s TempWeb system for continuous monitoring and recording of cold stores and freezers, work, storage and transport.

The instrument can be used in combination with Gullimex’ TempCube: a compact plug-and-play data logger that registers temperature, humidity and movement.
