Sustainable distribution box keeps food fresh for 10 hours
For the retail home-delivery, foodservice and airfreight markets, a double-wall, carton box using sustainable ice-packs.
Development of a sustainable fresh distribution box for the transport of fresh food products in the retail home delivery market, foodservice business, as well as airfreight. The innovation is based on a double wall carton box and the use of sustainable ice-packs. This prototype (1.0) can hold the temperature at 5°C for a period of 10 hrs. The box was developed by a project team of HAS Kennistransfer, Benders Vershuys BV, Bubento BV and Holland Innovative BV. A version 2.0 with a biodegradable ice-pack is being developed.
