Top-seal machine provides ‘one-stop shop’ for sealing, modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) and skin-packing; fast, cost-efficient and user-friendly.
From cherry tomatoes to fish fillet, packaging flexibility is a ‘must have’ for any company wishing to operate in the food industry. Tray sizes and shapes vary with product variety and retailer, demanding continuous adjustment of equipment. At the same time, top-sealing, MAP and skin-packaging are becoming increasingly popular, for enhancing stackability and, more importantly, shelf-life. The PROSEAL top-seal machine is a complete system for sealing, MAP and skin-packing.
The equipment, based on well-established sealing technology, is globally unique for its combination of speed, cost-efficiency and user-friendliness. With a simple tool the type and size of seals can be easily changed. The machine has a capacity of over 200 top-seals per minute and 50 skin-seals.
Developed by A-brand equipment supplier PROSEAL in collaboration with processing and packaging specialist Sismatec, the system is available in different capacities (GT-0 to GT-5), depending on the desired number of trays to be sealed per cycle.
Proseal has been building tray-sealers since 1998; the skin-seal application was introduced in 2015 and has been successfully used by customers across Europe, specializing in fruits, vegetables, salads, ready-made meals, meat and fish processing sectors.
