Wageningen UR - Plant Research

In plant sciences, Wageningen UR combines know-how and experience across the entire spectrum of plant research. Clients are governments and private companies, for agriculture and horticulture, and for rural and urban development. Main research themes are food and nutrition security, sustainable production and climate change, food and health and plant-based raw materials. The activities aim to contribute to internationally important topics as included in the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN.

The contract research is both science and innovation driven, usually in (public-private) partnerships. It comprises all important disciplines in plant research, such as plant breeding, cell biology, plant physiology, systems biology and bioinformatics.
