Vivera

Offering tasty, innovative and reliable supplies of chilled meat-replacers to their partners in the food chain, is the purpose of Vivera. Started 25 years ago as a brand and expanded within the Enkco Food Group, they became independent in 2014.

Vivera recently opened a new, 100% meat-less production plant in Holten, focused at vega products. The production plant meets or exceeds the latest environmental footprint. The company produces its own biogas, replacing 3% of the natural gas used, by transferring organic residues from waste water of the production process to the Veluwe Water Board’s new fermenting plant in Apeldoorn. The majority of ingredients are locally-sourced, such as from the lupine fields in Holten. The company is currently investigating the opportunities for developing degradable packaging.
