Spare Harvest

Connecting people for social and environmental impact.

In 2015 the founder of Spare Harvest, Helen Andrew experienced a seasonal glut of mandarins from her garden.  Although she tried to share her abundant harvest from three trees, she finished the season burying hundreds of mandarins into the ground.  This experience inspired Helen to create Spare Harvest, a global social enterprise.

By harnessing the circular and sharing economies, Spare Harvest is growing a grassroots global community that is building resilient local food systems and protecting the environment.
