Product quality can deteriorate very quickly turning fresh product into food waste. Smile System and Smile Lite are the smart, sustainable solution to this problem.

Ensuring secure opening and resealing via a label on the film roll, the Smile Lite system prevents dehydration and substantially improves product shelf-life without the need for extra packaging; it also serves as a first-user ‘quality seal’. The secret is a foil with a special, patented glue layer and a specific, highly-accurate incision, which allow repeated opening and closing of the pack.

The Smile System, launched in 2014, can be easily implemented on existing packaging lines, and is suitable for all types of machinery: vertical, flow-pack or top, with no need for modifications. It works perfectly without need for machine adjustment or setup changes. The foil is available with micro or macro perforations to allow fresh produce to breathe, and in a wide range of colors and shapes.

Smile Lite, introduced to the market in 2015, has its functionality ‘built into’ the foil. It is the definitive resealable solution for top-film, ideal for fresh, sliced or diced products; in fact for every kind of product that is not consumed in one ‘meal’, as it can be repeatedly re-sealed - perfectly.
